Synopsis
Initially scheduled as a five-week summer special on CBS, the SONNY & CHER SHOW wound its way into the hearts and minds of the American public. Naturally the duo performed a variety of their hits on the show, including "I Got You Babe," "The Beat Goes On," and more. Alongside them some giants from the music industry gave dizzying one-off performances, including Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, and many others. Comedy sketches and interviews also proliferate throughout, with Burt Reynolds, Farrah Fawcett and other big names making an appearance. But the sunny, funny duo of Sonny and Cher make the show the huge success that it is, and this lavish release offers over nine hours of fun-packed entertainment.
