Synopsis
Not to be confused with the DreamWorks animated opus of the same name, this nature-themed BBC miniseries from David Attenborough travels to the titular island, a country situated in the Indian Ocean just off of Africa's southeastern coast. Attenborough and co. focus exclusively on studying various species of Madagascarian wildlife that occupy this most unusual nation, with a particularly strong emphasis on frogs, wasps, chameleons and lemur. In the process, a picture emerges of a breathtaking but perilously delicate corner of Earth's biosphere. This collection contains the entire three-hour miniseries as it originally aired on British television.
